Sales, defense and tech leadership roles across the market


Capgemini Government Solutions

Sam Hussain has joined the U.S federal subsidiary of this global technology services provider as head of the defense sector, which touts a customer base across the national security community and industrial base.

The 24-year market veteran leads a team focused on helping clients deploy technologies in areas such as artificial intelligence, edge computing, cybersecurity and multicloud.

Hussain most recently worked as a corporate strategy and growth executive at Peraton. His career also includes roles at CACI International and ManTech.

Chugach Government Solutions

This federal services provider has made a pair of hires to its vice president ranks with both of them primarily focused on internal functions.

Ken Ackerman is now vice president of human resources following two decades in HR leadership roles across the market. He most recently worked as executive director of HR at V2X.

Isaac Fawehinmi has taken up the VP of controller post after 17 years in finance-related roles at other companies. He previously worked as VP of accounting and finance at All Native Group.

Everfox

Ned Miller has joined the public sector-focused cybersecurity company as vice president of global government sales, a role he brings 25 years of experience to.

Miller’s career prior to EverFox includes senior sales leadership roles at companies such as CrowdStrike, McAfee and Hewlett Packard.

Everfox also hired a pair of new senior directors for its sales teams, with Jim Coulter named for the Defense Department team and Ossen D’Haiti for the intelligence community team.

Global investment firm TPG acquired the Everfox business in 2023 and named it such the following year.

ITC Federal

Krista McKendree has joined the IT modernization and digital services company as a vice president of business development and will lead market expansion efforts at Defense Department agencies.

The two-decade defense sector veteran most recently worked as a BD VP at CBeyondData and before that was an executive at Cask Government Services. She is also a former Marine.

ITC secured a $25 million investment from Blue Delta Capital Partners in the fall.

KBR

Byron Bright resigned from his position as chief operating officer and officially left the company on Friday after 15 years there.

Bright moved up to the COO role in December after having led KBR’s U.S. government business since 2017. As COO, he helped oversee the global government and sustainable technology solutions segments at Company No. 17 on our 2025 Top 100.

KBR has since renamed the government segment to Mission Technology Solutions, which now covers two business segments: Readiness & Sustainment and Defense, Intel and Space.

Doug Hill leads the readiness business and Mark Kavanaugh oversees the defense portfolio. Both hold the title of president and report directly to CEO Stuart Bradie.

L3Harris Technologies

Rob Mitrevski has moved up to president of Golden Dome strategy and integration, a newly-created role that focuses squarely on business pursuits stemming from the U.S. military’s effort to build a new missile defense system.

Company No. 8 on the 2025 Top 100 views the future Golden Dome system as needing a multi-domain layered architecture involving satellites, data links, ISR systems, fire control sensing, and propulsion and control systems for interceptors.

Mitrevski is a 35-year defense market veteran who most recently worked as vice president and general manager for L3Harris’ spectral solutions unit.

Metron

Greg Yadzinski has joined the provider of research, science and software services as its new chief operating officer following three decades in leadership roles across the defense market.

Yadzinski most recently worked as a vice president of operations at HII, which he joined in 2021 via its acquisition of Alion Science and Technology.

He joined Alion in 2018 via its acquisition of MacAulay-Brown and is also a 16-year veteran of Commonwealth Technology Inc.

Muon Space

The four-year-old small satellite maker has made five new executive hires less than one month after the closure of its $146 million Series B capital raise.

Ryan Gray has joined Muon as chief financial officer following 25 years in related leadership roles, including stints as CFO for Powin Energy and Planar Systems.

Paula Trimble is now vice president of government affairs and strategy after having most recently served as policy chief and director of legislative affairs at the Space Development Agency. Her federal service career also includes stints at the Pentagon’s Rapid Reaction Technology Office, Commerce Department and Federal Aviation Administration.

Muon’s other hires as part of the five include Carl Nardell as VP of mission engineering, Gautier Brunet as VP of product, and Shirley Paley as chief legal officer.

Reli Group

Atul Singh has joined the government IT and professional services provider as chief technology officer, a role he brings 25 years of product strategy and engineering experience to.

Singh will oversee the execution of Reli’s technology vision that includes an emphasis on enterprise architecture.

He most recently worked as chief product officer at Successware. His career prior to that includes senior tech leadership roles at Science Applications International Corp. and CGI Federal.

SMX

Michael Lehr has joined the digital transformation and IT engineering services provider as senior vice president for its space and intelligence business, a role he brings three decades of market experience to.

Lehr leads a team of engineers and scientists that focus on developing software for turning data into intelligence, including through visualization and analytical techniques.

He most recently worked as senior director of space systems and advanced programs at General Atomics. His career also includes a decade at Sierra Nevada Corp. and service in the Air Force.

Tsecond

Dr. Raj Iyer, the former Army chief information officer, has joined this provider of mobile storage systems as president of public sector markets and will lead its strategy for engaging with partners.

Tsecond’s devices are being used by Boeing for the latter’s platforms and the company is looking to do more in the federal market on the engineering, marketing and sales fronts.

Iyer was the Army’s first chief information officer and led the service branch through a significant digital transformation effort during his two-year tenure there. He subsequently worked at ServiceNow as head of public sector, but left in the summer of 2024.

Altamira Technologies

Frank Calvelli, the Pentagon’s first-ever service acquisition executive solely focused on space programs, has joined the board of directors at the defense technology integrator.

Calvelli’s official title in government was assistant secretary for space acquisition and integration at the Air Force. The Fiscal Year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act created that role and set in motion the establishment of Space Force.

His government service career also includes senior leadership posts at the CIA and National Reconnaissance Office.

Kensington Capital Partners

George Hoyem, who retired from In-Q-Tel in June after 15 years there, has joined a defense and security-focused investment committee at this Canada-based private equity and venture capital organization.

Hoyem most recently led the investment team at IQT, the intelligence community’s venture capital arm for investing in startups whose technologies show promise for government usage.

Kensington’s One9 platform has worked with IQT over the past decade and operates with a similar focus: dual-use technologies that show potential for commercial and national security deployment. Kensington acquired One9 in March.
