The Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE) announced its rebranding to the Kentucky Association for School Technology (KAST) at the 2025 KySTE Spring Conference, marking a new chapter in its mission to support K-12 educators, technologists and school leaders across the Commonwealth.
This rebranding effort began in September 2024 in partnership with Rhodes Branding, a strategic marketing and branding agency based in Columbia, S.C. The project included a comprehensive brand audit, focus groups and a survey to ensure the new identity aligns with the organization’s members’ needs and the evolving landscape of education technology.
The new name chosen by the board reflects the organization’s mission and vision while aligning with the broader educational technology community in Kentucky. With a futuristic design, the new visual identity embodies innovation, progress, and collaboration. The “A” symbolizes a community on the horizon, reinforcing KAST’s dedication to bringing educators, technologists, and leaders together to drive meaningful change.
“This rebrand is more than a new name and logo—it’s a renewed commitment to the educators and technology leaders who are shaping the future of learning in Kentucky,” said William Pierce, this year’s KAST president. “KAST will continue to provide the professional development, advocacy, and collaboration our members rely on, while also expanding opportunities to support education technology at all levels and across state lines.”
The announcement was made on the final day of the 2025 KySTE Spring Conference, where education and technology professionals gathered to explore the latest innovations and best practices in digital learning.
